Aim

Productive Nutrition aims to integrate livestock into profitable and sustainable farming systems and to help producers optimise livestock productivity to suit individual conditions.  Use of available feed in conjunction with the most cost efficient and effective complementary and supplementary feeding strategies are key objectives in delivering solutions.

Understanding

It is important for us to understand your requirements.  Our annual consultancy service may include an on-farm visit to establish current levels of productivity, mineral/trace element deficiencies, protein/energy interactions and any energy deficiencies.  

Targets

Working with you, we establish a range of targets.  Targets for sheep production systems are generally considered for wool quality and yield, weaner growth rates, lambing percentages and stocking rates.

Plan

Once information has been collected and discussed a plan for 12 months is developed.

Service

Ongoing communication throughout the year will ensure that strategic feeding requirements are considered at the appropriate times.  Nutritional advice is provided for problems as they arise.  Adjustments to feeding recommendations are provided in response to changing conditions.
